I've lived in Llwyneinion all my life and was here when the fire happened (I was 11). I know that the fire was started deliberately by some teenager(s). We heard an explosion and my mam ran down there to take a look (in the days when none of it was fenced off well), and she alerted the fire service. We watched the fire from the road above, and were on standby for evacuation, but the wind was blowing everything down hill. The foam and debris was found as far away as Beeston castle. I have just the photos that were published as my taid (the caretaker of the site) did interviews with a few papers.
