With help from Rootschat!
“He was an interesting character, true to his word and honest in his dealings with everybody. Deepest sympathies to his widow, children, and all the family in their profound loss.”

The Eye and my gwelod longer sees me not, Thine eyes are on me, and I do not. Again not giving the one word.

The eye of him that hath seen me shall see me no more: thine eyes are upon me, and I am not. It's from Job Chapter 7, verse 8.

Thanks Hilary; I thought it must be a Biblical quote!

My granddad ran the pub, I'm guessing late sixties but I'm not 100% of the dates. Raymond Rogers or also known as Charlie Rogers. One of his daughters, Doreen is my mother now named Garden. Both my grandad and Muriel my grandmother have passed on. Just thought I'd post in case it helps with any history
