My Gt Grandmother’s youngest brother was Edward Morgan, born in 1883 in Fforestfach, Swansea. Prior to WW1 he was resident in Cologne, Germany where he was teaching. He subsequently served in the Great War. For a great many years members of my family were unsure of his whereabouts following WW1, other than he went “somewhere” in north Wales and was an official in the Ministry of Labour. I have since established that he settled in Wrexham. In 1919 he married Charlotte Miriam “Minnie” Labron and lived in Spring Road, Rhosddu with Minnie’s spinster aunts, Margaret and Sarah Shelby who were milliners in Henblas Street, Wrexham. They, in turn, were sisters of Timothy Morgan Owen Shelby, one time Headmaster of Brymbo Church School who was also prominent in St Mary’s Church Brymbo and in local cricket circles. Sadly, Edward passed away in 1922 at the age of 39, followed a year later by Minnie at the age of 38. They had no children.
I have established that both Edward and Minnie are buried in Wrexham Cemetery. I have grave numbers. I would dearly like to have a photograph of their grave but living this far from Wrexham makes that difficult. Can I very cheekily ask for any volunteers? It would be hugely appreciated by myself and my family.

Very many thanks for this - I am most grateful.
I am not aware of any family connection with the Seals, Swindells or Kendricks but I will most certainly do some further research.
Your point regarding headstones is also a valid one. Edwards's parents lie buried in Kingsbridge Cemetery, Gorseinon, Swansea in a grave also without a headstone.
Many thanks once again - appreciated.

Having done some further initial research I can find no family connection between Edward Morgan and the Seal and Kendrick families.
Charles Seal (1828-1905) was born in Torquay, Devon and his wife Elizabeth (1832-1906) was born in Wrexham. Ellen Adelaide (Kendrick) Swindells (1861-1924) was Elizabeth's daughter. Elizabeth was first married to Peter Kendrick, a baker in Chester who died in 1871. She subsequently married Charles Seal. In the 1901 Census he is described as "living on own means", in 1891 as "Army Pension" , in 1881 as "Civil Subordinate Commisant (Army). In 1851 he was at Woolwich Barracks and at Aldershot in 1861. Elizabeth was born Elizabeth Jones in Wrexham in 1832.
At the times of their deaths, both Charles and wife Elizabeth were living in "Sylfaen", Belmont Road, Wrexham with Elizabeth's son, Robert Jones Kendrick (1863-1929), a solicitor who, in 1897, was a candidate for appointment as County Coroner for Denbighshire. Ellen Adelaide Swindells (above) was also living with them as was Ellen's daughter Nellie.
Robert Jones Kendrick's wife was Annie (nee Cotton, 1874-1936).
Sarah Ann Shelby was an aunt of Charlotte Miriam 'Minnie' (Labron) Morgan. Both Edward and Minnie were living with Minnie's aunts, Sarah Ann and Margaret in Spring Road, Rhosddu at the times of their deaths.
It is a further mystery in the life of Edward as to why he and Minnie were buried in separate graves.

There could be a mistake in the transcription of the Cemetery Registers . 02433 / 02435 are quite similar. When I go to the Cemetery I`ll ask to look at the original Registers, that should give more information. The staff there are very helpful. Is this man related to Sarah Ann Shelby. He was a pupil teacher at Penygelli / Bersham School. James Pritchard Shelby James was born in Ruthin in 1863, the son of John Shelby a lead miner from Ysbywty Ystwyth, Cardiganshire and Sarah who was born in Dwyran, Montgomershire. By 1871 the family had moved to Penygelli and were still there in 1881. By 1891 James had moved to Mold, and was employed as a Schoolmaster. His whereabouts in 1901 are unknown but James married in 1905 at Forden to Sarah Elizabeth Rogers. There is a lot about him here, most in book 2. www.scribd.com/doc/53967274/Bersham-and-Adwy-Boys-School-Diaries-Book-I-1868-1879www.scribd.com/doc/53967215/Bersham-and-Adwy-School-Diaries-Boys-School-Book-2-1880-1890

I found the grave, there was a mistake. All buried together Edward , Charlotte is named as Minnie, and Sarah Ann Shelby is named as "Lallie Shelby " . The man at the cemetery went for a spade so we could uncover Lallies details, they are quite dirty but it`s the best we could do at the time.
There are other Shelby`s buried quite close, but we couldn`t find a headstone, but there were a few unmarked graves .
I`ll send the images by email.
