A new sticky thread... I am often asked about pictures of a particular location from members from time to time...
Maybe others can help'?' In the age of scanning, the old problem of loaning pics to copy and never having them returned has gone!
Our member mo11y has requested pics of Coedpoeth public houses The Welsh Harp and The Queens Head. Pics need to be of when the pubs were trading obviously. If you can help please respond below.
Anybody else after a particular pic or scene? Leave your request here on this thread - and hopefully someone, sooner or later may be able to assist.

Hi wonder if any one has photo of the old shops on the high street, particularly Wynnes paint shop, around in the 1920's or any of Mr Wynne himself. Any help greatly recieved.

Have you looked at Hilary Benton's Family History Pages ? There are some public houses on there, plus it is an interesting site.

My Dad was born in The Vaults public house in Minera in 1933. I know it is long gone but has anyone got a photograph of it?

Is this the Victoria Vaults 1851-1960 which stood on Ruthin Road and corner of Victoria Crescent? There's a photo in 'Pubs and Inquests' by J Clifford Davies.

Would love to see original photos c1900 of St Davids Chapel Gwynfryn or/and St Andrews Tin Chapel Wern. They have both just been purchased privately and the owner hopes to keep both chapels basically as they were. Be great to compare pictures after renovation. St Andrews is a listed building so limited in what can be done but not sure what colour the original tin was painted. Poor old tin chapel needs most of the windows replaces as they are all rotten.

There is a photograph of Wern Church on the Geograph site, taken by me fairly recently.
