have seen another stone face on this site cant remember what it came under (done search)this one is on wern road built into an entrance wall at tydden squire,the date above it 1--- something,your quess is as good as mine,what are they for.? Attachments:

For another stone head at Wern, see this page www.megalithic.co.uk/article.php?sid=26601 about half-way down. This appears to be a different one to the one photographed by you. The note says that the Clwyd-Powys Archaeological Trust "think it could be either Roman or early Mediaeval". Odd that no-one has written any more about these, as if genuinely old, they are of some historic interest. If I had to make a wild guess, I'd speculate that they might be something to do with one of the early churches at Minera. There is a reference to a chapel being there in the late 16th century - this was later demolished and rebuilt. However there might have been something there before then, even, perhaps a small chantry or private chapel (though I've never seen any evidence of it).

hello all, here is another stone face, this can be seen on an out building on the house on rhostyllen round about, it also look's like it has a hat maybe a crown, any idea of it's age.

Could be from / part of the Rhose Tullen Smithy which was demolished when the roundabout was built.
