I am the grandson of Thomas William Jones, and not knowing very much about his family, would like make contact, hopefully with descendants who may be able to help me complete a family tree. Thomas William went to Liverpool as a young man , and as far as I know spent most of his working life there. In later years he lived in Heswall, Wirral, and passed away in Sept 1965. He was buried at Frankby Cemetery, Wirral. His death certificate mentions a nephew, Arthur E Jones of Rhosddu, Wrexham. My father, who has passed away was Sydney John Jones, son of T.W, born 1903 in Liverpool, was brought up in Whitford, nr Holywell.
Many thanks Phil Jones

This is the only marriage that matches for names. As it`s a civil marriage you would have to buy the certificate to be sure. We already know Catherine`s father was Edward Evans a tailor. Following Thomas`s parents further back is going to be iffy, John Jones / Eliza ?? .You would need the birth certificate of a child to get her maiden name.

This seems a good match for Catherine.
1851 Bryn Hyfryd Minera Edward Evans 34 tailor b Wrexham Ann Evans 35 dressmaker b Wrexham Catherine Ann Evans 10 Mo b Wrexham
1871 6 The Walks Wrexham Edward Evans widower 53 tailor b Wrexham
He is living on his own. I can`t find him in 1861 , and can`t find Catherine in 1861 or 1871.

Thanks very much for the information. I'm going to try and make some sense out of this now. The next thing is to find out what happened to Thomas William (my grandfather born 1883) who looks like left the family home as a teenager, when he met my grandmother (Muriel Williams) and subsequently having my father Sydney in Liverpool in 1903. This is going to be a challenge, maybe someone out there knows.
