Also posted on another site, but perhaps as this is more local someone can help. www.rootschat.com/forum/index.php?topic=703824.msg5467811#newMary Jones married in October 1874 at Wrexham St Giles. She was 21 and residing at Bedwell. Her father is Evan Jones a collier. No Jones are witnesses. As you can see she is vague about where she was born. I`m having a hard time finding her before her marriage. 1881 Barracks Cottage , Royton, Bangor John Taylor 29 farm labourer b Pickhill Mary Taylor 26 b Treuddyn Flints 1891 Chester Road, Whitby Cheshire. Not sure what you mean by "Struggling to find an Evan and Elizabeth" The problem for me is there are so many :-) A couple below
Evan Jones Wales, Carmarthenshire, Parish Registers, 1538-1912 marriage: 23 November 1836 Llanfynydd, Carmarthenshire, Wales spouse: Elizabeth Jones Evan Jones Wales, Carmarthenshire, Parish Registers, 1538-1912 marriage: 29 April 1823 Llanfynydd, Carmarthenshire, Wales spouse: Elizabeth Lewis

Thanks for looking, but Mary was born in Flintshire. The 1861 record is also Llanfynydd, Flintshire. Treuddyn , Ffrith and Llanfynydd are only a few miles apart.
I was trying to find Mary with an Evan as a father, if this is her with mother Elizabeth in 1861, then he is dead . I can`t find this Elizabeth for sure in 1851, with or without an Evan.
Maybe Hope parish registers will have a baptism. If they were Non Com - that`s another story.

Surname Forename Church / Register Office Registers At Reference JONES Mary Bangor on Dee, St Dunawd Wrexham County Borough (Wrexham)
Possible spouses: Surname Forename thingyIN Samuel TAYLOR John TAYLOR Mary
From your posting you may have the MC but this seems strange.
Sorry censor at work above

Hi Frank, I have seen the marriage certificate and that of Mary Taylor to Samuel D**kins. It appears to be a double wedding of John Taylor and his sister Mary Taylor - same date, same church, same father. Hope this explains the possible spouses.
There is a baptism of a Mary Jones, daughter of Evan and Elizabeth Jones on 21st March 1853 at St Asaph. Evan Jones is a farmer though, not a collier and they are living at Tyn y Coed, Wygfair? I don't seem to be able to find him in 1851 or 1861. Perhaps someone else may have some luck if only to discount it as a possibility. Nellie

Thanks nellie, I did wonder if it may be brother and sister. It's "Mary Jones married in October 1874 at Wrexham St Giles" that puzzles me as I can't find anything to match.

Rob, The marriage was at the Parish Church of Bangor, Flintshire on 5th October 1874 but maybe the banns were read at Wrexham St Giles (if that were the parish of Mary Jones) and the marriage details picked up from Denbigh Banns and Marriages records. I did find the Mary Jones who was baptised at St Asaph in 1853 in the 1861 census with her family still in St Asaph and with no likely connection to any of the places given as Mary Jones birthplace. So I think that rules that one out. Nellie

I`ve found Mary`s burial. I am 100% certain it is correct as she is buried with John and two of her children.
She is entered as Mary Elizabeth Taylor..
