Christmas day . Church attendance throughout the parish was not observed as it should have been, the attendance throughout the parish was meagre, let us not forget that the true significance of the season is a religious one.
Appeals. A sum of £13 6s 7d was sent to the Additional Curates Society in London. £ 4 16s 7d to the Missionary Society, and £12 14s 3d to the St Asaph diocesan society, less railway expenses of special preachers- 15s 4d.

January 7. The churchwardens entertained the Parish Church Choir, the sidemen and their wives to an excellent supper at the Minera Schools. About 60 sat down. Arrangements were admirably carried out by Mr and Mrs Wynne assisted by a noble band of helpers.
After supper songs and recitations were given by the choir. Selections on the phonograph, manipulated by Mr Wynne were greatly appreciated.We should like to add special than ls to Mrs Wynne for getting the joints cooked, to Mr F Stevens for all the plum puddings and mince pies and to Mr Carrington for the tea, coffee and sugar. A very pleasant evening was closed by singing Auld Lang Syne and the National Anthem.
Easter The congregations throughout the day were unusually large. Flower decorations in the Parish Church were carried out by- Miss Wynne, Mrs Venables Kyrke, Miss Sampson Michell, Mrs Burgess, Mrs Acton and Mrs Michell.
March 22 Rev J Hamer Lewis visited Minera NP school and examined the children in Religious knowledge.
Easter. The Easter Vestry was held on April 8 th with the usual business of passing of accounts and the election of officers for the coming year.
Minera Church of England Schools. The reports on the religious instruction were received. Senior Dept ;
"Considering that the head teacher has been absent for some time due to illness, the children acquitted themselves very creditably."
Junior Dept; "This department is very well taught and disciplined, the children passed an excellent examination"
Infants Dept; " The religious instruction is sound and good"
The certificates were distributed to successful scholars by Mrs Massie, Minera Hall.
Parish Church Cassock and Surplice Fund.
Statement of account. Receipts; £10 12s 0d; Mrs Burton, Newton Lodge 10s; Anon, 3d.
Expenditure, Messrs J Wippel & Co ( cassocks and surplices) £10 15s 9d; white book marker 6s 6d.
April 18. A most successful " Concert and Lecture" was held in the Boys school, Minera.
The room was crowded to its utmost capacity.The lecture of our kind friend Mr G F Wynne on " My trip to America" was greatly enjoyed. Mr W H Jones kindly manipulated the lantern. The proceeds were toward the Churchwardens funds.

Expenses. Mr T Carrinton ( printing) 15s; oxygen for lecture, and carriage 4s ; conveyance to Wrexham after concert 4s 6d ; Mrs Parry ( cleaning school) 3s; sundries 10s.
May 20.[/b] Memorial services to our late beloved King Edward VII were held in the Parish Church, all services were well attended and were of an impressive character. The Territorials, headed by the Coedpoeth Silver Band, attended the service. The " Dead March" was played on the way to the Church, and by the organist, Mr Stephens . Appropriate hymns were sung in English and Welsh. Collection amounting to £4 18s 6d were made towards the Whitehaven Distress Fund.
August 8 The Sunday school treat was held in delightful weather. A short service was held at the Parish church at 3.30 after which the children marched in procession to the schools where an excellent tea was provided and full justice to it was done.The following rendered valuable assistance; Mrs Wynne, who superintended the cutting of the cake and bread and butter, Mrs Woodfine ( who as usual undertook the arduous task of boiling the water), Gifts toward the tea were - Mrs Lowndes, 3s; milk by Mrs Griffiths ( Plas Mostyn Bach);
and Mrs Evans ( Penypalmant);
butter by Mrs Parry ( Gwernygaseg); currant bread by Mrs Robert Roberts; Mr Fred Stevens kindly gave 150 buns for distribution amongst the children on their leaving the field. After tea all adjourned to a field, kindle lent by Mr William Evans, Ivy Cottage, where the Coedpoeth Silver Band was in attendance. Games of all kind were enjoyed and races for boys and girls were organised.
August 27 . Members of the C.E.M.S. had organised a walk and picnic tea, but owing to the inclement weather they had to forego and retire to the Church Room, Coedpoeth where an excellent tea was provided by the Vicar. An enjoyable afternoon was spent.
September 5. The Parish church choir had their annual outing.They left Coedpoeth Station at 8.20 am for Llangollen, in charge of the Rev A Wynne Thomas and churchwarden John Williams. A most enjoyable day was spent.

Expenditure. Railway fares , dinners and teas, £3 2s 3d.

September 5. A most instructive lecture on the " Universities mission to Central Africa" was given in the Coedpoeth Church Room. We were sorry to see so few present.
October 12-13.
Large congregations attended the Thanksgiving Services. Those present on Thursday heard a very impressive and eloquent Welsh sermon from the Vicar of St David`s Liverpool. The earlier celebrations on Wednesday were not so well attended,. The church was decorated by, Misses Wynne, Mrs Hinks, Mrs Allison Brown, Mrs Wynne Thomas, Miss Bale, Mrs John Williams ( Pentre), Mrs Ethel Jones , Miss Polly Jones, the Misses Owens ( Five Crosses) and Major Allison Brown. Corn, fruit , vegetables flowers and bread was received in abundance form Minera hall, Gwernygaseg, Nant y ffrith, Plas gwyn, Plas Mostyn Bach, Mrs Odgers ( Tyn Y Capel), Mrs Parry ( Hafod las) Mrs R Jones ( Minera Cottage), and Mrs Price ( Smelt).

We greatly regret to announce the death of Captain Sampson Michell, the oldest, the most faithfull, and the staunchest churchman in the Parish. The funeral, which was of a private character, took place on Saturday morning October 15th, in Minera churchyard, the local clergy and the Rev J Bowen, Rector of Llangower officiating. We desire to express the heartfelt sympathy of all with Mrs Michell and Mr Frank Michell with their bereavement.
