Hello Annetteedwards, I've had a quick look at my four Francis Carrington but unfortunatley none of the ones I have fits in with that date that is mention in the Deep Level Mine Halkyn, I wonder who he was, its a pity the parents names are not listed, but what a great site, very interesting, thank you for posting it, maybe someone else can place him, if so can you let us know please.

Hi, Rhiannon,
In the Llanarmon Yn Ial parish records transcript for the period 1744 to 1812, I noted the following references to the Car(r)ingtons. (The spelling is as it appears in the transcript.)
Baptisms 1744 Apr 13, Jane Carington, father John Griffith, mother Anne 1748 Feb 8, Anne Carington, father John, mother Anne 1750 Mar 23, Margaret Carington, father John, mother Anne 1753 Oct 14, John Carrington, father John, mother Anne 1756 Feb 29, Thomas Carrington, father John, mother Ann, of Eryrys 1758 Jul 30, Francis Carrington, father John, mother Ann, of Eryrys
There are also two marriages. Jane Carrington, on 24 May 1771 to John Jones - Jane's parish is shown as Mold. Margaret Carington, on 12 Dec 1775 to Thomas Jones.
I do not see any later references for the Carringtons, though clearly there may be something pre-1744.
I do not know if the above is of any help to you or tallies with any of the research you've already done but I thought it might be of interest.
Dave

Hello Dave,
Thank you for going to the trouble and writing all this down for me, I haven't come across these names in my tree but I will definit keep them just in case, I took the advantage of the 3 free day at ancestry.com and found loads of my familiy on the census but do you think I could find all my Carringtons, no, I would love to find where my oldest Carrington ancestor came from but I couldn't find his name or his wifes any where. Anyway thank you Dave I am really grateful to you and if I find a connection I will let you know. Thank you very much.

Take a look at the Carringtons from Halkyn thread, I found some baptisms today, there could well be more earlier records I didn`t have time to look at . These are all in Halkyn registers,

COEDPOETH CARRINGTON TALK I spoke with my cousins Haf & Berwyn Hopwood yesterday. They report that the Carrington meeting was very well attended - over 50 people apparently. Don't know if anyone filmed it. Heather

Hello, First I've got to say that researching the Carringtons always confuses me because there seams to be so many of them. I was going to say that these families are not the same because I don't have a Robert Francis Carrington, but later on down your query I see you have a John born 1828 Minera to a Francis Carrington, I have a John born 1829 Bersham and his father name was Francis Carrington and his mother a Elizabeth Jones they were married 1841 Wrexham. The siblings to John were: Robert, Thomas, Moses, Noah, Mary and Ann. Do you think these are the same family ? If so I look forward to hearing from you. Rhiannon

Hello , Whilst updating my family History, I notice that two of my relatives worked at the Cross Foxes Coed poeth at one time and that Hostelry was run by a Sarah Carrington. See 1891 Census ref Rg12 Piece 4614 Folio77. My relatives were my Nain Sarah Ann Davies and her sister Mary. Any interest?
