Hello,
One of his daughters Hannah Jane was my great grandmother-the 1901 census tells me they they lived at 5 greenfield road( i think?) - just wondering if anybody got any more information on this family and their life in Coedpoeth?
David Phoenix birthplace is shown as Vron, Denbighshire- does anyone know where Vron is please?
If there any relatives of this family out there somewhere who would like to get in touch, i would love to hear from you
Thank you

Hello Hugo,
David Phoenix father was Edward Phoenix (spelt in the 1851 census as Phenix)-he was born in 1829/30 at Pentre, Denbighshire- havent had much time/success yet in going back further-
Sorry, i have not come across Elizabeth Phoenix(or Phenix) born about 1830 in my family tree during my search for information.
Family history is new to me so plenty more to find out im sure-my knowledge of my Phoenix ancestors is very weak athough the census returns have been a big help.
Thanks for your reply.

Just wondering if you know of a Sarah Phoenix, who married Joseph Chaloner, he was born about 1779. I think their first child was born 1809. I beleive he was the weighman at the machine house , which was part of Plas Mostyn colliery.

Hello, Found her brother Edward Born 5.5.1875, in the 1911 census living at 33 High Street, Brymbo, married a Hannah Jane Rogers in 1897, his occupation is given as collier, and they have 2 children John William and Gladys May. Hannah's father William Rogers classed as a widower is also living with them. 1939 census shows both Edward and Hannah still living at 33 High Street, Edwards occupation is now shown as Colliery Timberman ( Underground) but unemployed.
Hope this information helps to enlarge the family tree / knowledge
