Hi Eluned Yes you are correct. This info gives me the marriage date of Bertram Jones and Mary Ellen Kelly. Mary Ellen being the daughter of John and Elizabeth Kelly, nee Williams of 3 Wesley Place. John and Elizabeth were caretakers of Rehoboth Chapel for many years. Mary Ellen was my wife's aunt (known as Nellie) I knew both Bert Jones and Nellie until their deaths - they had one daughter Daphne. Regards Bracken

Hi Margaret, Do you happen to know if above mentioned Bertram Jones was related to Dora and Bessie Edwards - teachers in Coedpoeth - and their brother Eric Edwards - Minister of Rehoboth Chapel?

Hi Bracken, Glad my hunch was correct. Nice to know about the Rehoboth connections too, interesting. I was in touch with Eric Edwards some years ago and supplied him with some information to write an article on my Gt. Grandfather. He very kindly passed a very nice photo of Rehoboth on to me too ;D

Hello Bracken - Yes they are all cousins - Bertram was the son of Elizabeth Ann Jones and Enoch Jones , who died in the 1901 Minera Mine Accident. Bessie, Dora and Eric were three of the seven children of Frances Louisa and John Edwards of Penywaun, Coedpoeth. All the mothers, including my grandmother were sisters and part of the family of Peter Williams and Frances (nee Blackwell) of Maelor House/Maelor View, Minera.
What I did not know, until I saw Eluned's post, was that Bertram had married a Kelly as up until now I had only known her christian names. She must certainly be from, what I call, the other Kelly line. My Kelly connection comes from the fact that Frances Blackwell's mother was Mary Kelly the daughter of James Kelly and Frances Blunt.
Regards - Margaret

Hello Margaret, Thank you for info re-Bertram Jones. Having been aquainted with Bessie, Dora, and Eric Edwards, and my wife's uncle Bertram I believed them to be somehow related, but having no knowledge of the parents, could never work out the relationship. So you have kindly solved that mystery for me. Mary Ellen Kelly b.1901 -d.1977 Dau of John and Elizabeth Kelly nee Williams - 3, Wesley Place Coedpoeth John Kelly b.1877 - d. 1962 Miner. Elizabeth Williams b.1877 - d. 1966
My wife's mother Leta Kelly was a sister to Mary Ellen. Their line came down from Morgan Kelly 1852 -1903 married to Amelia Blunt 1847 - 1921 Amelia was daughter of Francis Blunt 1820 - 1874 Morgan was the son of Edward Kelly 1815 - 1893
Hope I haven't confused you - they confuse me all the time! Regards Bracken

Hello Bracken - Many thanks for all this information - it was very clear, not confusing at all. However it has led me down from my original Kelly/Blunt link and back up again to yet another Kelly/Blunt link. Fascinating. Regards - Margaret
