I'm sure some of you may recognise a few of the characters in this photo. It was taken C1960. Could they have been in a Bowling team? Evan Thomas Williams (my taid, is on the far left side of the picture in the background, his brother William (Willie) is on top row in the middle and my dad is the young lad with the dark hair. Was this photo taken in Coedpoeth park opposite the old library? And any other names to faces would be great. Attachments:

I`m surprised that my Uncle Alwyn Owen isn`t on it, he was always found on the Bowling Green and I`m sure was a member. I think there is a wall and some steps that go down from the War Memorial so it could well be opposite the Carnegie Library.

Showed this pic to my Dad tonight (he was about 11 in 1960!). He believes the man first left in the second row (white shirt with sleeves rolled up) is Teifion Mitchell who worked for a while as a 'butchers boy' in Coedpoeth. On the far right of the second row in a tie and sleeveless sweater is Trevor Roberts who married my Dad's Aunt, Lily Mary Davies. He has fond memories of Trevor and can remember him being a member of the bowling club.
He thought a few of the other faces were familiar but couldn't put names to them.

I,m a Coedpoeth boy born and bred and the man in the middle of the front row is Arthur Price who also spent time in the snooker room above the library run by Gwyn Astley.
