The last bungalow on the right before you reach Minera Church, as you go up Church Hill is named "KINGSLEY" and was owned by G.F.M.Wynne who named it after the author Canon Charles Kingsley who wrote "Westward Ho" and "The Water Babies". Apparently he was a boyhood acquaintance of Mr Wynne. I am sure some of you have some interesting facts to share ? ;D---Tom

From Yesteryear in Minera by Clifford Davies. Eversley was built in 1910, by G F Wynne, Kingsley was built in 1906. Rev Charles Kingsley was Canon of Chester when Wynne was a choir boy at Chester Cathedral.

Hi, Thanks it is good to find out details and I have just noticed Kingsley is on the map on this site homepage. I remember Eric Wynne quite well but have never worked out how his initials GFM covered Eric unless it was the Frederick and he preferred Eric.
