If anyone is looking for ancestors in the following parishes I would be happy to help with information: early Minera, Llandegla, Llanarmon yn Ial, Llanfair Dyffryn Clwyd, Bryneglwys, Llantysilio, Llansanffraid Glyndyfrdwy, Llanelidan, Derwen & Ruabon. added Sep 2/07 - Clocaenog & Llanfwrog. I have learned that because most of these parishes were in close proximity, it was not uncommon for couples to marry in one and baptise their children in one or more other parishes. So it is definitely worth checking out a few if you come across a brickwall or two Just send me a pm and I will get back to you ASAP. Heather

If you apply to a local register office you don't need the reference number. Apply to Wrexham, supply known details, you know DOB and father and they should then only send a cert with details as found in your application be it letter or form. Do not provide info unless you are sure of it ie people were often known to change jobs Give your contact telephone number too, just incase. Wrexham Register Office details can be found at www.wrexham.gov.uk/english/life_events/bereavement/register_office.htm

Hi Eluned, I have been looking for details on my Grandfather John William Roberts born 1892 in Llanarmon but the family actually lived in Eryrys (Canol Y Cae)on the 1901 Census. His father was John Roberts b 1865 Llanferres His mother Barbara nee Richardson b 1868 Mold Siblings Jonathan b 1888 Llanarmon and Barbara J b 1900 also Llanarmon. I would be really grateful if you would be able to look up christening details and possibly burial of Barbara (mother) who I believe died in 1901. Many thanks, Alison

Hi abeer. I think the registers Sceptrelady mentions are the pre 1837 ones, they are transcribed into a book form. The dates you have will only be on a microfilm, and so you`d have to visit a records office, Ruthin or Hawarden for the details you want. Hopefully they were `Church`.

Never mind I might need to ask as I progress with my research - I misread the post probably - so definitely a trip to Ruthin then! I think they were church not chapel given the other info I have already, Thank you, Alison
