Forrester Cross died 1890 in Ruabon. Does anyone have the publication for Ruabon MI's I would be very grateful if someone could check if Forrester has an MI and it's location. Thank you Kathy

Hi Kathy, there are two locations listed for Ruabon. Garden of Rest and St Mary`s. They have been done by the Clwyd FHS so will probably be in Wrexham museum and Cefn FHS centre.

Thank you Kathy Hi Kathy Do you have the Cross family on all censuses or are you looking for railway specific information? They are mistranscribed as Carp in 1861 Pontesbury Shropshire and an ancestry member "TimHallam63" has filed a correction. Heather

I had some time to spare so called in the Museum for you. No MI`s for Forrester Cross, and the only Cross`s are in St Marys Ruabon. In memory of Thomas s/o Thomas and Eliz. Cross died 16 Nov 1827 aged 4 also Edward Cross died 4 Dec 1827. Of course he could be buried there but has no headstone. I had a look at a few surrounding areas, but no Cross names at all. There is nothing in the Wrexham Advertiser online for Forrester Cross. I thought there may be an obit. Sorry to have nothing better for you.

Thank you so much for that Annedw I really do appreciate your taking the trouble to look this up. Does this mean the museum is open again?, because I now need to check the Parish Registers. Thank you once again. Regards Kathy

No, it`s not open in Wrexham yet.. The archives were moved to Bersham Heritage Centre for the time being. It`s not far from Wrexham. Not all of the documents have been moved, so best to check first. PR`s and microfilms are there. www.wrexham.gov.uk/english/heritage/archives/index.htm
