Open House for All Former Steelworkers and Their Families
Bersham Heritage Centre is holding a special weekend for everyone connected to Brymbo Steelworks on Saturday 5th April and Sunday 6th April 2008. It will be a chance to see the exhibition about the steelworks, watch some films of Brymbo, meet former colleagues and enjoy some refreshments.

Its a shame I am Overseas I worked there from 1974 to 76. At the training School {Cambrian House} and also The Smithy.

I would so much like to go that exhibition but I have to be in Nottingham at the same time. Difficult that ;D My father was at the steelworks for years, worked in maintenance and always knew the best place for a cup of tea Hilary

The exhibition and films are actually on now, it`s just the `special weekend`thats in April. I went there a few weeks ago with my husband who also worked in Brymbo.

Hi Adwylad, I assume thats Coedpoeth...! My mum was from the Adwy (Glenys Williams) My step- taid Tecwyn Jones was the "sampler" at the blast furnace. Anyway, I grew up in the Lodge which was below the works, when the slag was tipped out at night the whole of the Lodge lit up ( of course we kids were in bed by 7pm) great memories of walking "through" the steel works tunnel to Brymbo juniors if we missed the bus.
