Hi everyone. I am new here and for years now I have been trying to find some info about Isabella Wynn's parents. Isabella, my great great grandma, was born in Pentreffelin Wrexham Abbot about 1829. Her fathwer was Edward Wynn born about 1796 but I don't know who her mother was. I would be really gratetful if anyone could help- be a great 'birthday gift' as it is today!!!!

Hi, welcome to Minera. All these refer to WYNN, Isabella is in the 1841 census, but I don`t have the details. 1841 Census Wrexham Town Anne, Edward, Elizabeth, Hannah, Harriett, Isabella, Jane, John, Mary; 366 is the key to 1826 / 1835 baptisms, and an Isabella Wynn is in there. Maybe someone with accesss to this volume can check. 366 Wrexham Vol 17 Baptisms 1826-1835 Wynn . 366 Wrexham: Edward, Elizabeth, George, Isabella, Jane, John, Kenrick, Mary, William. The museum in Wrexham is closing this week and won`t be open again till Feb 14th. I would take a look for you, but it`s a bit late now. Hope someone can help.

I certainly will be popping back- looks like a very good site. It is warming up here after a 'cold' spell ( for us, that is, we are a bit soft and have fires on at 17C) Christmas Day should be 28C,about 83F perfect.
Have a good Christmas

Thank to some help from another person I have this for you.
Isabella's mother was Jane, her father Edward (labourer), living in Pentrefelin. She was baptised 23rd October 1829.
I`ll try to find the marriage.

Not good news No Edward Wynn, and there was only one Edward Wynne in Wrexham marriages, but he married Elizabeth Evans on March 24 th 1822.

Ahh- probably terrible sinners then or maybe they were Methodists as many of the family were. Thanks so much for looking anne. Just watching a report on the floods up in Queensland- we were up there recently, can't believe it. Awful.

1841 Census Wrexham Town Anne, Edward, Elizabeth, Hannah, Harriett, Isabella, Jane, John, Mary;
I found Isabelle and Harriet Wynne both marrying in Liverpool in 1850. Are they sisters ? are they yours, I`ll have another look for you a sometime.
Seems like the wrong girls.

Hi -Thanks Anne,
What I do have is as follows-
Isabella moved to Darlington where she had my gt grandma Margaret Winn ( got the birth certificate, no father mentioned) Margaret was born 23 Oct 1847. Isabella married Francis Bell Clark 27 Dec 1848 in Trinity Church Darlington Durham. I am assuming he was also Margaret's father but no proof unfortunately! I have the idea Isabella had a brother Edward born around 1817, a sister Elizabeth about 1827 and a Sarah born 1825 but I was very naughty and didn't write my sources down - it was a while back when I was just starting out. What you found fits with some of that
Jane
