Hi,
If this is the wall I think it is, then it belonged to a house called Bron Offa. This was at various times the home of William Low, engineer and owner of the Vron Colliery, and later of William Lester, a JP and owner of a lime works who had some input in the formation of the Trade Union movement. So, you're looking at a bit of one of the residences of the 19th century upper middle class (who often lived fairly close to their employees but in much more comfortable surroundings).
Wrexham Council also give this information on one of their walk sheets, but give the house name as "Lloft Wen", although early OS maps attach the latter name to a house up the road on the north side of Heol Maelor. Low is variously described as living at Bron Offa and Lloft Wen, but Lester only at Bron Offa, in contemporary records, so it may be they have confused the two houses.
