Further to my thread regarding Cadwaladr H Jones and his links to Bangor University I append below for those interested four other Bangor University casualties with connections to the area of interest to this Forum followed by students from said area who served. Year after their name indicates when they entered the University. Not all on the Roll of Service have a placename against them so it’s not a conclusive list of men from the area who attended Bangor. Should anyone want to add some info to the names then I assume that I will be able to modify Post 1 as time goes on.
Howel Dilwyn Roberts. (1915) Brynteg, Wrexham. His previous RWF number (Pte 40880) indicates he enlisted April/May 1916 most probably under the Derby Scheme. He went to France end of August 1916 where he served with the 1st Battalion until he was Commissioned 2nd Lt and to the 14th Bn on 28/5/1918
On 31/10/1918 a shell struck the mess of C & D Coys 14th RWF killing Lt O M Jones and 2nd Lts H D Roberts, J Bartley and G H Charles and wounding two others.

John Davies. Sgt RE. (1901) Wrexham. Not readily identified. I though he might have been this one with links to Southsea

but the rank is wrong and the age doesn’t fit somehow with someone entering college in 1901. Any indications as to who he might be (the College one that is) would be appreciated.
