Sorry about that. For some reason this sight does not like my user name and changes it . I've tried to edit the url but when I post it ( Night Watch... all one word changes to Nightthingych !!!) so the centre section of the url is wrong.

It seems that the ` Keep It clean` programme is on the lookout for Olde Saxon Four letter words There seems to be one hiding in the middle of Night*****watch. I have the same problem with one Wilcoxon varient, it usually comes out as Wilcthingyson ;D

Well spotted. I thought there must be some sort of filter on but I never thought it would look in the middle of words Anyway the link I posted should work now. I changed my photobucket account. David

Using my ` world famous`powers of deduction, I have to say this is a strange one. It really looks like `Clock` but there is no K in the Welsh alphabet. What does the entry relate to, I can`t make out the words at the top of the form.

The entries are on the only surviving page from a family bible. I think the columns should have been used for births marriages and deaths but some of the names are mentioned more than once!!

I`ve noticed that the entries above and below are spelt wrongly as Wreham - Nannt ffyth - So at first I thought it might be some one ( maybe who couldn`t speak Welsh ) trying to spell Clocaenog. It does look like Clock inok and does sound similer, and it is close to Ruthin. Perhaps a look in the parish registers will help. Though as it is a family bible - now I`m not too sure. I`ve only thought of this `cos I have had some really strange ways of spelling my surname -Wilcoxon in many entries, often it was written as it sounds as in Wilthingyson. Wylcoxson, etc. I don`t suppose this is the answer, but hey - I tried.

Well it seems like I was about 20 miles away and it looks like it may be around Bwlchgwyn if the rest of the entries are to go by. I have an old map of that area, but can`t find anything at all like it, but again it could be somwhere else. This is a good site , you can search old maps. Probably you`ve seen it, but others may have not. www.old-maps.co.uk/

in answer to Nighthingych, the second welsh quoatation means " when & where registered" ie which registry office the births where registerd and when.

Using my ` world famous`powers of deduction, I have to say this is a strange one. It really looks like `Clock` but there is no K in the Welsh alphabet. What does the entry relate to, I can`t make out the words at the top of the form. The word that your looking at which may look as if it starts with an H is definately an F and could be ffloch which means Female and the first 4 letters of the second part are Insh but cannot make out the last letter I dont think that it actually relates to a place name, possibly she could have died at an early age or was stillborn sorry just a thought. And as Annette stated before it looks as if someone could not spell well and I know from having a daughter who is a dyslexic that she spells phonetically (how the word sounds when spoken) which may give a reason as to why the words do not look correct. hope this is of some help Tracey

As far as I have been able to work out Ann Edwards nee Jones is the the wife of Price Edwards. Her Children are Ruth, Maria, Robert, John Price and Elizabeth.
There is an entry for a Ruth Jones living at 33 garden place Mold. I found her on the 1881 census at this address as well. I suspect that the entries have little relationship to the headings but are more addresses at the time the document was written.
