Noswaith dda How many of you fancy a little detective fun here on the minerahistory.com message boards Some of you 'super sleuths' may be aware of a game played on the ancestry message boards where a name is forwarded at random and members must gather as much info as possible within a week... ... I have decided to implement a similar feature on the messageboard. It will be named [glow=green,2,300]Mystery Ancestor [/glow]It will have its own category on the homepage and we may even award points for a detective's prowess. ...A random name from the locality which this website covers will be selected. This name will be collected from either one of the census years currently availiable or from a headstone in the area which is aged accordingly. (Discretion will be observed accordingly). ...The task of our detectives will be to provide that person's life story within a week! Where born, who where their parents, where did they work, when did they marry, what was the name of their house, etc, etc... ... Just how good are the Minera Ancestry Detectives...Please leave a reply below if you would like to partake in this challenge....

Our first ancestor will be revealed on the evening of Sunday 4th March... We want their life story! I expect a lot of rivalry between our 'in-house' detectives Tracey & Annette on this one, but everyone is welcome to 'chuck' their cap in. If our first 'contestant' happens to be a members ancestor - all the better! See you Sunday evening on the new category board...
