Quick update Apparently James Jones widow remarried and is buried with her first husband in Wrexham Cemetery--Sarah Edwards 78 yrs bur. 21 12 1933 Plot 4491 Will look if there is a headstone on a dry day, however there are 2 more burials in this plot who must be connected in some way according to the very helpful superintendent-they are--John Westwell 69 yrs Maelor View, Bwlchgwyn bur. 6 10 1969 and Jane Westwell 91 yrs bur. 29 2 1996 I also got the marriage of John Lewis & Elizabeth Chesters 5 2 1881 St Giles with Banns, witn. John Hughes & Sarah Chesters ( Chesters sisters both made their markX) I could not find a bur. for Sarah Jane Jones c1887 in Minera nor a bur for Griffith Jones and his widow in Brymbo. I will now send for Sarah Chesters marriage. Tom

John is the only Westwell found when searching the Cemetery index 68yrs 06/10/1969 It covers the years 1876 to 1989 Just checked and apparently 1966 wasn't a leap year Tom, so I guess she couldn't have been buried on 29th Feb 1966 ;D

Hi, The marriage certainly looks the right one as I can remember a Mr & Mrs Westwell living in Bwlchgwyn in the 1960's and he was def. English. They had a daughter named Maureen who would have been born about the late 1940's.(guesstimate) If Mrs Westwell was originally a Sarah Jane Jones c 1904 she could have been the daughter of James c 1855 or his son Robert Owen c 1879 ;D---maybe Maureen is still around Wrexham area but I do not know her married name. I will try to find an obituary and or a headstone which should clear up some unanswered questions Thanks everyone for your help, Tom

Found James Jones headstone today in Wrexham Cemetery with the help of the very co-operative superintendent and it gives James died 21 6 1913 & Sarah his beloved wife died 14 12 1933--an unusual feature (to me) is that they have used the reverse side of headstone to record John Westwell 1901-1969 and Sarah Jane Westwell 1904-1996. also a vase with recent flowers in it and MUM & DAD engraved on same. I did try Palmer centre this afternoon for an Obituary but failed miserably so it leaves a few mysteries to solve relationwise---but I guess thats what its all about. Thanks Tom
