Does anyone know if it is possible, and where to access previous issues of The Wrexham Evening Leader i.e 1996 as I have realised that notices of forthcoming funerals often give details of relatives and quite a few report the obituaries as well. Tom

The Leader is available at A.N Palmer from 1920-? , unsure if they have them up to 1990 though www.wrexham.gov.uk/assets/pdfs/museum/newspapers_held.pdfNotices after the funeral often give lists of people who attended and sent flowers. I found many a rellie this way You may need to search for a couple of weeks or so after the event took place.

Hi Lynn, The Evening Leader is a daily evening paper Monday to Friday which started in the 1970's and I was hoping to find info which is not in the weekly one as lots more people put the reports in the Evening paper in lieu of the Friday issue. I do not think there are any copies in the Palmer Centre but I will check next week.(Hope I am wrong) Thanks anyway Tom

Sorry Tom, thought you meant the Wrexham Leader. Evening Leader isn't on the list. Lynn

I have tried to find these in the past , and the office in King Street told me they didn`t keep past issues. I`m sure the British Library have them , and possibly Aberwyswyth library, a long way to go though I was trying to find an issue containing an article about my Uncle and his expoits in the WW1, .

Hi, Thanks again, but I will probably try a different approach--dont ask me what yet, but I will keep you posted if I get any results. Tom
