Although I had already bought some of the 1911 census transcriptions for some of my English ancestors, I have just splashed out on an actual original page ;D Just brilliant! Seeker Check out your e-mails ;D ;D ;D

It brought tears to my eyes seeing my lovely Dad age 1 in Tregarth Found another great aunt born 1902. My Jones great grandmother had 14 live children Found my 2xgreat grandparents still together after 51 years of marriage ;D But the one that really made me cry was another great great grandfather age 81 STILL working as a quarryman at Penrhyn. He must have been a toughie ;D

I have found almost all my direct descendants now except my grandmother Mary Elizabeth Jones b 1899 Corwen - so disappointing! I cannot do an address search as I am not sure where they actually were (either Corwen or Garth near Llangollen or so i thought) and the name Jones doesn't help me one bit!! Maybe they were dissenters? I found my grandfather John William Roberts living in a large extended family ( the result of remarriages ie Your kids, my kids and our kids) in Park Cottage, New Brighton , Minera but sadly found his stepmother died soon afterwards in late 1911. Another great Aunt ( Mary Alice Owens nee Hulm) I found living in the twenty houses with her husband David and some of her children with the rest being boarded out to the grandparents(Owen Owens) in the Five Crosses pub. She had 12 children between 1899 and 1920 poor soul! It is a very interesting slice of history especially as some of these people are not long deceased and to see their actual handwriting was brilliant. Alison

It was fascinating to realise that both Alison and myself have met up at Park Cottage, Minera. John William Roberts' stepmother was my great aunt !
Alison - I shall be sending you a PM Regards - Margaret
