There`s an entry in Penygelli logs dated 24 July 1877 "Visited today by Mr Thos. Francis of the Lloftwen Temperance Hotel " Anyone know of this

There is or used to be a house in Coedpoeth called Lloftwen. Overheard a discussion about it last time I was in A.N.Palmer

Hi, Lloft Wen is still standing and is a very impressive building which I visited many years ago--It is in the Adwy on the left hand side of the road going towards Wrexham. A Mr Bert Moss & his wife lived there at the time I visited--He was a wealthy local businessman mostly involved in timber. I am pretty sure you will get more info which may contadict mine but what the H*** I did meet him, but it was a long time ago. I am sure Glyn & or Clifford Davies have mentioned LL Wen in their writings at some time or other. Tom
