Hello all
Have any members had dealings with Minera Quarry Trust? Are any of our bunch, members of Minera Quarry Trust?
Would be interesting to have an update of just what is being undertaken or what is planned for the area.
For the record, we (that is us, Minerahistory.com) have twice emailed to suggest we highlight and support their activity. We are as yet to receive any form of reply.

I haven`heard of them at all. www.mineraquarry.org.uk/index.htmLooks like Peter Appleton is involved. MINERA QUARRY TRUST. PETER APPLETON ( Date: 04/06/2009 Page Last Updated: 09/06/2009 --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Peter gave the club an in-depth overview of the history, geology, flora & fauna of the Minera limestone quarry and the future aims of the Trust. The quarry and the adjacent lead mining activities go back 100's of years and have waxed and waned along with the local industrial conditions. There are plans to open a visitor centre featuring the extensive natural cave system, the SSSI and the industrial history of the quarry - subject to agreement with the quarry owner and securing funding. A most interesting and illuminating talk.Shame we just missed this, a nice day out. Search Minera www.geosupplies.co.uk/pdfs/DayFieldTrips2009.pdf
