www.brocross.com/industrial%20history/welsh%20limekilns/flintshire/wrexham%20limekilns.htmI went for a L_O_N_G walk this afternoon. Parked the car in the leadmine museum , and walked along the path, across the Minera mountain road, and carried on till I came to an open area, where there are a couple of old houses, one had been renovated. I carried on from there and up to the Lime stone quarries. By now, the dog and the hubby were feeling the strain - me- I could have gone on for miles. ;D ;D ;D On the way back to the houses, there was a dried up stream on our Rh side, just before we came to the houses and gate, we spotted some arches just above the stream bank. What I want to know is - are they the same ones as these, if so they are certainly very overgrown now. If not, then what are they. I think I found a fossilised animal bone in the quarry, are there any experts out there.

Sut mae Annette,
The kilns in the photograph - As you were walking into the quarry with the renovated house on your left hand side, you then pass the old station on your left, a little further somebody has erected a fence that steers you right and towards the newly formed car park. However if you keep in a straight line and jump this fence the kilns photographed in your link are on the left hand side.
There are other kilns not too far away, in a very overgrown patch just above the dried river bed which I assume are the ones you are describing. I was also strolling up there with my son the other month.
