Hi Deb, Pauper burials would still be recorded in the PRs but you may have problems locating the grave in a church yard as they would generally be unmarked. Some burials do have plot numbers though and often the grave plan is held by the vicar/verger. Do you know the date and church where the burial took place? eluned

Thanks eluned The problem is I have no idea where my great grandfather is buried. I believe they were Wesleyan Methodist. His name was David Davies of 23 Brymbo Rd Bwlchgwyn. According to the inquest of which I have a copy, he died 18th November 1916. The inquest date is 21st November 1916. David was aged approx 49. His wife Ann Davies died in 1915 and is buried in Bwlchgwyn Church Graveyard with daughter Sarah but unfortunately David is not with them. I believe David and Ann's other children were taken in by an Edwards family who also lived in Brymbo Rd after David died. Deb

Hi Deb, The Welsh Wesleyan magazines "Cylchgrawn" may have his obituary if he attended a Wesleyan chapel in the Coedpoeth circuit. The obituaries can be very informative and usually say where the burial took place. Unfortunately the magazines are only available to view in the A.N. Palmer Centre, Wrexham but someone may be able to do a lookup possibly.... eluned

My uncle said that they pronounced the Davies surname as Davis and I'm wondering now if perhaps David could have been buried under the surname Davis. Deb

Hi, I have double checked Coedpoeth Cemetery with no luck also reports of Wesl. burials drew a blank but I did find a couple of baptisms (sort of) In the Coedpoeth Wesleyan Circuit---Parents David & Anne Davies address just Bwlchgwyn--Hannah Elizabeth born 25 8 1905 & bapt 14 9 1905---ALSO to the same parents but living in 23 Brymbo Rd. Bwlchgwyn --Sarah Ellen born 8 6 1901 and the bapt. left blank.--Not a lot I know Tom

;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D At last, thanks to Tom , David has been found. Buried 22 Nov 1916 in Bwlchgwyn Churchyard. It was the very first place I looked and I`m 99.99% sure he wasn`t on the microfilm, could I have started too late, I`m doubting myself now.
