Hi Lynn, I think it is actually Cae Mynydd you are looking for---There were 3 cottages as far as I can remember--There was a Mr Tonge, Mr Ellis and Mr Browne living there in 1911--but Minera House about 100 yards away was a much grander residence and gives 1,2,3,& 4 in the 1911 census--I did not realise there were 4 houses but there must have been 4 addresses - In 1937 there are 3 families, Walley, Goodman and Davies living in Cae Mynydd Cottages and Albert Williams living in Minera House- I did not see any other ref to Minera House but I think there were other houses close to it.-Tom

Hi Tom Totally agree with you, it is Cae Mynydd. I altered the name of the thread as you posted your reply! I added the link to the thread in post 2, as Hilary mentions her "Williams at Cae Mynydd" connection Hopefully janrichard will find this of interest. eluned

Free BMD. Mary Winifred Williams. There are 22 in this date range , 2 from Wrexham
Births Surname: williams First name(s): mary winifred Start date: Mar 1890 End date: Dec 1915
Did Mary W marry, if so it woud be best to get the certificate to see who her father was.
There`s only this one that matches the full name. North Wales Marriage indexes for the years: 1934 WILLIAMS Mary Winifred , HAMILTON Gorden St Asaph, Civil Marriage Denbighshire North (Rhyl) Free BMD came up with nothing.
It`s very tricky working with so very little to go on.

I can only add that the Mary Williams was not connected with my Davies Williams family (the double surname is a long story and they were always registered in bmds etc just as Williams), if that helps at all.

Do you know the name of the church that Bryan Williams was baptised. Wrexham heritage centre has no record, wondered if records will be kept at Ruthin?
