I'm helping some family friends with their tree. One of them is now in her 80s and is trying to find the burial place of her mother Mary Jane Christison who had died when she (the friend)was only a young child. History is that Mary Jane Christison died 'around 1932' and is buried 'Minera way'
At the time she seems to have been living at Llanddeiniolen parish, Caernarfonshire with husband John who was employed as a gamekeeper and four children. They had previouly lived in North East Wales and John had had a previous marriage.
With other bits and bobs, research indicates that she is most likely to be Mary J Christison registered Q1 1933 at Liverpool aged around 42 (the likely scenario being she died in a Liverpool Hospital)
There is a Marriage Registration in Q4 1916 at Wrexham between John Christison and Mary Jane Jones (which is the known maiden name for Mary Jane) and there is a John Christison at an address shown as Pentre, Minera as a soldier in WW1. (I'd be interested to know whether Pentre in this case is the housename and not just 'village')
My impression is that Mary Jane Jones was originally from Minera and, when she died as a young woman, she was buried back home. I need to build up on this.
(I have looked at the 1891/1901 census and ther is a Mary J Jones, right age, shown for an address which look like Pentre Bais in the 1891 and then as niece in the house next door Plasgwyn Mt in the 1901. I haven't got access to 1911. I was searching for Mary Jane Jones but, interestingly and for a reason I cannot fathom unless it's because of my previous searches, Ancestry was offering me the death registration for Mary J Chrisitison that I outline above. I can't see how they link both from the data on the GRO material)
So, having given some of the background my enquiry is whether someone can tell whether Mary Jane Christison is shown in any local burial books for Minera or even better whether she appears on any of the local MIs, possibly with her Jones family.
Thanks
Gwil
