While looking for some baptisms for Anghared that should have been in the registers I found that some years are missing. Looking at the photos of the book that is in Bangor, it seems it may be a copy of the original entries and that some pages have been lost, the entry numbers are in sequence, but under 1841 Feb 3 there is a line across the page and then it continues from 1846 Sept 20, There is an entry dated 1842, squashed under the line dated 1841. Anghared has found some documents that give details of two of the missing baptisms and sent me the message below. Don't know whether the following are of any use to you -such as to add to list - I copied these from a document at the Wrexham archives last week amongst documents relating to Samuel Jones Brymbo. Certificates of Birth & Baptism as recorded in the Baptism Register of Wern Chapel in the parish of Wrexham in county of Denbigh. Jane, the daughter of Samuel Jones, mineral agent, Brymbo and Jane his wife, formerly Jane Taylor, was born May the 12th 1846, and baptised by the Rev William Williams, Harwood, June ----- 1846 Mary the daughter of Samuel Jones, Mineral Agent, Brymbo & Jane his wife formerly Jane Taylor was born June the 17th 1848, and Baptised by the Revd William Lloyd August the 13th 1848This means that there is a gap of 5 years. Because the Database that was on Redzone and now on Scribd is in alphabetical order it`s not been spotted before.

Do any of you have problems with viewing the Wern registers on Scribd, my PC gets in a right state and I keep getting warning messages about `scripts` , this doesn`t happen with the School Registers. Please let me know . as I can delete the PDF version that is there now and replace it with a Word Doc version.

Hi, I have similar problems, a messgae about cross scripting and very very slow, to the point of a dead stop, can scroll down a couple of pages, but then it seizes up. Got a couple of IT mates and will ask them if its a setting on the pc, as it might just be a setting. Steve

It seems to be OK with Firefox browser, but I usually use Internet Explorer and that`s when I get the problem. I`m still going to upload the Word version , and then see what thats like. There must be lots more people with the same issue with IE.

I`ve uploaded a new version to Scribd, and it`s still giving my PC some grief, so it`s best to use Firefox or another browser rather than Internet Explorer. It doesn`t seem to like it. Any comments appreciated. www.scribd.com/doc/69863725/Wern-Chapel-Bapt-Burials-Updated-VersionThis is the link, I`ll sort the old version out later when I have more time.

You can choose `Full Screen` and then zoom in from the black tool bar at the botton of the screen. I couldn`t alter the previous version, It`s Adobe Acrobat and it is locked .
