Hi, I looking to find information about my great great grandad Robert Roberts, the details I have so far are
Born abt 1860 in Eglwysbach Married Elizabeth Newall 30/12/1878 in Llysfaen 1881 Census in Llysfaen 1891 Census in Bwlchgwyn district 12 image 18 He was a Coal miner He's not on the 1901 census, but the family are at 12 Brymbo Road, Wrexham Piece 5221
My dad told me he died young in Bwlchgwyn and the family moved to Old Colwyn not long after.
I think he died between 1895 and 1900, but doing an index search comes up with a few the right age for the death year but all says Wrexham.
Would be grateful for any help and possibly the grave yard he is buried in

Hi, Robert Roberts, Bwlchgwyn aged 36 Years buried in Christ Church Bwlchgwyn 16 2 1896 also Elizabeth Roberts 2 Colwyn Terrace, Colwyn aged 68 yrs 18 7 1929- Entered in the burial register. I do not have a copy of the M I's for this graveyard so I do not know if there is a headstone. The good news is that it is a very small area to have a look around should you be in a position to do it. Good luck Tom

If you could point me in the right direction I would be very grateful

Robert in not listed in the Christchurch MI`s . The parish records for that Church are at A N Palmer centre in Wrexham on microfilm , and Ruthin records office. They may be on Find My Past for those lucky people who have joined that, I`m with Ancestry , blog.findmypast.co.uk/tag/welsh-parish-baptism/

Hi Tom Margaret and Elizabeth dates fit, but Roberts Samuel cant be right because if the date for Robert death in 1896, unless there is another Robert Roberts, I have found on the index that there are a couple more deaths that match the age but only show as Wrexham for 1898 Q1 Q2 and 1899 Q4 could one of these be him ? I am sure you gave me the right one but for Robert Samuel to be his child he must have died later, also Miriam was born in December and Robert died in Feb. Is it possible that Elizabeth married soon after his death?

Hi, Firstly the bap. could have taken place well after the birth ie Miriam and no one bothered to put "late" by Roberts Name----I cannot see the problem with Robert Samuel other than that there may be several Robert Roberts & Elizabeth as parents, some may not be yours. Regards Tom

Ah not like nowadays, where there all normally just a few weeks, so Maragret, Elizabeth and Miriam all fit, but I think Robert Samuel is from another Robert and Elizabeth.
Thank you for all your help Andy

Visited Christ Church in Bwlchgwyn today but alas no MI for Robert and Elizabeth.
Spoke to my Dad today and he confirmed that Elizabeth did live at 2 Colwyn Terrace, so it is the right Robert.
Thank you again for all you help
