Hello
I would like to find out about Thomas Thomas (born 1792-1798?) and his wife Hannah. He married Hannah (do not know her surname) She was born in Brymbo in 1798 (approx). Thomas died in Manchester between 1841 and 1851. She died in Manchester in 1874 at the age of 76.
All the children baptisms were in the Parish of Wrexham
Hannah - 1821 - William and Hannah Thomas - Abode: Minera - Quality, Trade or Profession: Miner William - 1821 Anne - 1824 David - 1827 Mary - 1828 John - 1831 Thomas - 1832
They were living in Manchester by 1841 and they had three more children Edward, Henry (1839) and Jane (1839).
I would appreciate knowing about Thomas Thomas and Hannah as well as their ancestors. Thank you

Hi Irwell, Thomas Thomas a miner and Hannah Shone were married in Brymbo 29 December 1818,with the consent of parents, meaning they were both under 21 on that date. Thomas signs with his mark but Hannah signs as Hannah Shones. I don't know whether this could be your Thomas and Hannah. Nellie

Thank you Nellie. I did see this marriage/bann and it seemed right except that when I look for Hannah Shone, born in Brymbo in or about 1798 I cannot find one. The only one I found war born in 1793 and died in 1795.

Before you go looking further at the origin's of Hannah SHONE(S), I suggest the best way to confirm a maiden name is to purchase the birth certificate for one of the children born after mid 1837. In the 1841 census they appear to be living on Caton Street, Hulme, Manchester. Lancashire BMD indicates one Henry THOMAS registration in Hulme 1839 certificate ref number HUL/4/52. You could write to Manchester City Council and ask them to check the mother's first name is Hannah before issuing the certificate. If not they will cancel the order and provide a refund. PS. There are a lot of SHONE(s) listed on the excellent www.namesfromclwyd.org.uk website.
