Many years ago I was able to find details of my grandfather, John Wynne, thanks to the members of this site. I find that I no longer have contact details of those who very kindly helped me to discover his family. I am therefore posting again. I am looking for further information about the ancesters of John Wynne (1838-1918) who was to married Esther Hayes (1843-1878). I have never found a marriage record for them, only the record of banns. Their children were Mary Ellen, Alice, Robert, and my grandfather John. Any help on the Wynne and Pugh lines would be very much appreciated.

Thanks for responding with information about the Pugh family. Do you have an Esther Pugh (1820-1843) in your tree by any chance? Her parents were Edward Pugh and Elizabeth.

Hi Im not sure if this will help but my father Douglas Neville Wynne and his father Owen Owen Wynne were born in Coedpoeth. My grand father was one of fourteen and was a painter and decorator. He met his wife in the war, her name was Mable Head. Wynne was a big family then but when the parents passed away the family divided over money and my grand father walked away as he didnt want the money as it had created so much trouble. I hope this is helpful Tony Wynne.

Thank you for your reply Tony. Yes, the Wynne family certainly seems to have been many in number. I have not yet come across your family's names in my search, but perhaps I shall find a link further back from which I can make a link through siblings for example.
