Glad to hear the site will remain with us.
The site is a real gem of a resource.
I have received an email this morning from a concerned minerahistory.com member who also enquired on the situation, so the site is obviously in demand.
Da Iawn!

Hi Tracey, Many thanks for the new site info, I could never open the previous one. Having had a quick look at all the Davies, Ellis, & Evans, -all the less common names, I cannot wait to log on again. It makes the job so much easier when Davies marries Davies Etc.,!!! Hen Locsin

Hi Tracey, I like to say thank you as well for this site as I have found a few of my Carringtons which is a big help to me.
I've just noticed how many Carringtons ( if I read it right ) that were part of the family that lived in the Cross Foxes that died so young, most of this family were wiped out so earlier on in their lives, I felt quite sad reading it, I expect it was some type of disease that went round ?
Anyway a big thank you to you.

Thanks everyone for your kind comments I had quite a bit of time last year (due to having a major spinal operation and being bed bound for a few months) to create the database for the site and was pleased with the amount of interest it gained. It will be an ongoing project to continually update any records contained within the database but due to other family commitments my work on this project has ceased temporarily. As you all may have read on my past postings I am contemplating a further huge task of compiling all the Baptism Marriage and Burial records for the Wern Chapel Registers which are held at Bangor and I know that Annette is excited as I am to get this off the ground, but with me living 100 miles away and the University not being open on a Weekend I'm finding it hard to get the time to get there especially with the weather over the winter months (doesn't feel to safe in a BMW cabriolet traveling along the A55) I just thank you all for taking the time to visit the site and actually glean some important (even if upsetting) information from it. It makes it all worthwhile to us here who are actively involved with the Minera History site, that there are people like yourselves out there who appreciate what we try to do to help you research your ancestry. (all for free may i add you don't get this kind of service on Ancestry.com ) Just remember anyone can post anything you like regarding a question on your ancestors. We may not always be able to give you an answer straight away but we will always do our best to point you in the right direction So please feel free to post any questions in the relevant topic boards...we don't bite.... well not on a Sunday after a good lunch that is. ;D Thanks again Tracey
