Hi all Ive been researching my family tree for about a month and have got back to my gt,gt grandfather Price Edwards born about 1823 hope Flintshire. The 1871 census has them living in Glascoed rd Brymbo. They dont seem to be on the 1861 census but I think Ive got them on the 1851 census. I assume that to go back further I will have to search the parish records, Being new Iam not sure where to goto find these. Any help and advice would be most welcome.

Flintshire records office is at Hawarden. Click this link for details... www.genuki.org.uk/big/wal/FLN/Genfair have Hope Parish record booklets for sale online, but their booklets currently only appear to cover upto 1812. Click this link for details... www.genfair.com/shop/pages/cld/page24.htmlIn 1871 - Glascoed Road, Brymbo. Glascoed Road runs down from the monument corner in Bwlchgwyn. Bwlchgwyn is not noted on these census years, being within the parish of Brymbo the area was noted simply as Brymbo.

Thanks for the replies Just had a look at Genfair and I think I will order the Bwlchgwyn and Coedpoeth MI booklets These might help tie in the info Ive found so far
The burial details for Price Edwards seem to fit what I had found using the freeBMD index on Ancestry
1851 census Edwards Price Head 30 miner Hope Flintshire Edwards Ann Wife 25 Derwen Denbighshire Edwards Ruth Dau 2
Seems to be a better match with the 1871 census.

The information that I have given to you is for Minera Parish Records, they include Brymbo, Blwychgwyn and Coedpoeth I have copies of them if you would like me to look anything up but the information already given was all I could find given the information you first submitted.

I've just got hold of the marriage certificate for Price Edwards dated 27 Dec 1847
Price Edwards, 26, Collier, Bwlchgwyn, Edward Edwards, Miner Ann Jones, 22 Servant, Bwlchgwyn, William Jones, Labourer
Is it possible for anyone with access to the parish records to look up his mothers name.
Thanks Shedevil for the burial info.
Hopefully I should be going to look for myself fairly soon but any info in advance would be very welcome.

Hello again I cannot locate any information regarding Price Edwards baptism records as the only registers I hold are for the Minera Area. and Price was born in Hope Flintshire. I have tried to search the 1841 census again with the information of 1821 as his approximate birth year but i still cannot find him with his family in either Hope or Minera areas i have even searched the whole of flintshire and denbighshire. It may be an idea to contact the Clywd mailing list as the researchers there will have a wider variety of records at their fingertips as they cover the whole of the North Wales area. I am sorry i cannot help you this time around but i guess you cant win them all. I'm certain the Clywd mailing list people will be able to give you the information that you require if you are not already a member click on this link lists.rootsweb.com/index/intl/WLS/CLWYD.html and follow the instructions to subscribe then once you have received confirmation, you will be able to post your question regarding prices baptism record. they are usually pretty quick at responding to you and are all very nice and helpful people. let us know if you get the information your seeking its always nice to see people filling in the gaps in their search bye for now Tracey

Hi all
I've been re going over my research and having obtained the death cert. for Price Edwards ( 18 Nov 1874 age 53) I noticed that it matches the entry in the Minera Burials.
Can anyone tell me were the graveyard is that is associated with the entry. I would like to see if I could find the grave.
David
