Looking for the family of Gwyneth Roberts born 1924-26c. In 1942 lived at 4 Smelt Cottages Brymbo. Father may have been a butcher from CoedPoeth. Trying to piece together family history. Thank you. Jo Wright

Annette any chance you could look up the electoral registration details of this address at Wrexham Archives ? it may hold some clues as to the family names at this address so that we can then start off searching for the correct family, Gwyneth would be about 16-18 at the time i think that both men and women had the right to vote back then I could be wrong.

Thanks Annette, have sent off for the certs of those Gwyneths 1924 - 26. However, that's all I have...her name and her rough age in 1942 + her address. If i get lucky a subsequent marriage from that address will pinpoint her. What I need is her father's name so that I can go back and work out the family history. Thanks to Tracey too - it was a good idea! Shame there are none for that era. I THINK her father was a butcher from Coedpoeth. Any ideas would be most welcome. I've had a look at the trade directories for 1922 but that may not be relelvant for 1942. Keep the ideas flowing - please! Jo

THANKS - I've got my information and I can start tracing the Roberts of Coedpoeth back into the Victorian times. No doubt I'll be asking for more help soon! Jo
