I've been looking through the Wern Cemetary records - thank you very much for putting it all on line Annette. Have actually found a Carrington - not sure which Francis yet!
I have a general question. I notice that the graves are mostly in men's names. Would the families have been buried with them without a name registered in the book but perhaps on the gravestone??

If you are looking at the pages Wern 1/2/3 etc. that are at the top of the Minera History.com home page then this is only a list of grave owners and not all the people buried there. The actual burial register can be found by going to the Parish Registers Online logo ( a church ) on the same page. Go into this, Click on Burials , and at the bottom of the page you`ll see Wern. It is a bit confusing to find, maybe LLosgi can put another link for us. I think it is a link to Tracey`s Redzone site. Try this link back to the burials page , May work . It seems you have to double click everything on this. www.the-red-zone.co.uk/Burials.html#

Thank you Annette. I did get to the Tracey's site - the link from the front page seems to go to the old site. Anyway I'm disappointed to see that Francis isn't listed on there - I guess he bought one but someone opted not to use it!!

Ive had a look through the Book 1 baptism photos. Two mentions of Carringtons. Maria d/o William Edwards and wife Mary formerly Carrington bpt 1834 Abraham s/o David Cadwalladr and wife Alice formerly Carrington bpt 1834. Perhaps Francis was their father. The writing in this first book is very hard to read, Tracey deserves a medal for working on it. ;D I`m about half way through the second book and not spotted any Carringtons so far.

Ooh you are a gem Annette - THANK YOU. I shall have to put my thinking cap on to figure out who they are Abraham's mother Alice was definitely one of the Coedpoeth Carringtons Not so sure about Mary Carrington. It looks like she was a Broughton Carrington which originated in Chester - will have to do more digging to make sure

Noswaith dda Annette, I can confirm I will be sorting out a link to your records regarding Wern Cemetery. I have decided to give New Brighton & Wern their own respective sub-site, like Coedpoeth & Bwlchgwyn, so as to release some pages to extend Minera. On their new home page I promise to give you a super-duper link! Diolch.
