one of my lifelong dreams would to be to buy a property in the country preferably in the area of Minera/ Coedpoeth
mainly because i feel at home in North Wales whenever i visit.
I find it so frustrating that people who can afford to spend the money and have either money, no knowledge, respect or admiration for the area come along, find a property and demolish it so that they can build an inferior dwelling with a modern aspect that will not last.
Its a little like comparing an Ikea product with a 15 year life expectancy (at the best) to a Chippendale Piece of furniture that can stand the test of time
I own a 1934 build house in Cheshire and when i choose to move again I know it will be to the countryside as my husband comes from upstate New York were the scenery is very much like that of North Wales with the hills and greenery but the trees are much taller and thinner
For all the people who love and admire this small village on the outskirts of Wrexham/Wrecsam please try to keep the village alive in its roots and instead of demolition go for the option of refurbishment you will see that this is the way to go in time.
Our legacy was to fight for a better life and our forbears gave us that foundation.
When you see an application to change a property or area take interest because once its gone its gone Your opinions matter and can stop a planning application going ahead.
One of My Great Uncles was a councellor for Miner/Coedpoeth and i would think that he would be livid with what is happening in the village today.
Beauty is not always in clean neat lines on a planning application its mostly about keeping a heritage.
I work within a team that deals with planning applications and unless more people have an opinion, the demolition of old buildings will continue and then we have no reason to cry shame of it all because in a way we have condoned it to happen.
Do not allow these new "Out of Town residences" to be built brings in loud out of town people with no respect for the solitude of country living, just that they have a pay packet that allows them a "home in the Country".
One day I WILL live within the area (gimme ten years) i have people who commute to my place of work from LLay so i know its not a biggie
Any comments for or against what i have said are welcomed
