Just before Saron Chapel on the Nant road, is a building called Poppy Pines. It must be very old, it has a VR post box on the wall. It looks like it was an industrial place because there is a pulley wheel at the top of the front. What was it ??. It looks empty but could make a great place to live with a lot of time and money. Across the way are a row of tiny cottages that looks like the Greenpeace hideaway,` Rainbow Warrior lives ` This Middle Road / Nant Rd is a real mish mash of property. Really old stone cottages I would love to live in , and some very 60`s style featurless boxes, fantastic views down the Nant though.

I believe your talking about Nant stores annette. I remember this shop open when i was young and can still recall that musty old shop smell when you walked in.

Annette, Is the V.R. postbox still in use? There was one in the wall of Marchwiel Hall, but it was derelict and Vandalized, and sadly now disappeared. Probably in the home of some affluent American. Can you offer a link to the Building of which you speak or maybe Llosgi; Thanks, Locsin

ON LOCATIONS I`ve tried to pinpoint it but it`s difficult to make out the road. I walked down the road from St Tudils, to Middle Road, past the house that Roy built, ( for me and Llocsin only ) Then carry on down quite a way , past where the road narrows and it is on the RH side. It is quite a way from the Car Park - not too bad going down, but a b****r coming back. Imagine carrying your bag of shopping all that way home . The post box looks in VGC but I can`t recall if there was a collection time on it , I don`t think there was but not 100% sure. If we see one on Ebay soon - well who do we blame ;D

Thanks for that Annette! If the weather takes a turn for the better, I may have a wander down there. Remember innocent until proven guilty. Locsin
