What a great site for those of us who have roots in the area!
My family traces back to John Blackwell and Peter Williams of Minera and to Noah and Edward Edwards of Llanarmon - and later Coedpoeth. In more recent years I am related to the late Misses Bess and Dora Edwards (teachers in Coedpoeth) and their brother Rev Eric Edwards, I am sure some of you will remember them well.
Would love to hear from any of you with connections to these families.

Hello Margaret
Do you have any other names in the Williams family. I am researching my Williams side of the family from Minera and have come up trumps with the help of buying a Welsh bible dated 1880 off Ebay. I haven't come across a Peter, however not all granchildren have been logged in it. the births dating back to 1860 have been recorded in it and the marriage of the eldest daughter and the births of her children bar 2. and only the deaths of 1 child and 1 grandchild.
Would love to hear from you to compare names.

Hello Hotwood - I don't think that my names match any of yours. My Williams start with Peter Williams b. 1843 in Halkyn. He was in Minera from 1868 when he married Frances Blackwell. Their children were Elizabeth b. 1869, Mary b. 1871, Frances Louisa b. 1875, Margaret Edith b. 1880, Peter Llewelyn b. 1882, Eliza Jane b. 1884, Mary Hannah b. 1886 and William J. b. 1888. Regards - Margaret
