Hi all
I've just obtained the death cert for my gt grandmother Maria Edwards nee Williams. She died on the 1st Dec 1895 in Bwlchgwyn age 35. I was hoping to find where she is buried. I have all three of the MI books for Bwlchgwyn but she's not mentioned in them. Although her husband Robert is! He is in Bethesda with his second wife Ellen. Any thoughts on how to locate her?
Regards David

Hi,
I've got a couple of instances where wives were buried with their parents, neither wives were young, in one case she was buried with her mother and siblings and the husband immediately remarried, in another case she was already widowed and asked to be buried with her mother and father.

Have you had a look at the information on our Bethesda page on the Bwlchgwyn section of the site'?' This info is an addition to MI, as it lists who actually purchased the plots - may throw some clues perhaps. However it does only include the section of graveyard above the site of the chapel, and not the graves which surrounded the chapel, which looking at your dates may possibly be the case... but its worth a look. www.bwlchgwyn.minerahistory.com/bethesda.html

Thanks for the advice. I hadnt thought of her being buried with her parents. Maria's birth cert arrived today It states Her mother is Jemima Williams lately Jones formaly Jones. Am I right in thinking that her mother's maiden name was Jones then she married a Jones before becoming a Williams. More Joneses ;D Every branch seams to have them
