I love a challenge keep your eyes peeled I will do some research for you over the weekend If its any consolation I could not identify my great Grandfathers paternal father and had no idea who his mother had married after he was born. The only thing i knew of him is that he was brought up by his Grandmother in Brymbo, This was one of the reasons I joined this site. I ended up tracing my 2nd Great Grandmothers husband and family and also My Great Grandfathers Father (he was illigitimate, but Im not ashamed because without him I would not be here today. ;D) the reason Im telling you this is because the information is out there and I wil do my best to get you as much relevant information I can to help you on your way, the rest is up to you Tracey

I have located a Hughes family with the possibility of them matching as potentially being John Hughes Jones relatives but if you could provide me with his fathers details from the Marriage certificate I will see if they are correct before i post them on here
I have still been unable to locate the Marriage of John Davies/Davis and Eliza Davies The birth of Dorothy Davies who seems to be the daughter of Eliza and John Davies ? I have found 2 possible records of her bith the first one seeming to be favourite
Dorothy Davies birth registered Q3 1878 Stockton Vol 10a Page 110 Dorothy Davis birth registered Q3 1878 Gateshead Vol 10a Page 921
Hope some of this information is of use to you as I am aware you do already have a lot of this already

Looking at the name Abraham rang a bell, I remember seeing it in the Wern Graveyard Registers. Jane Abraham. Drefechan. John " Frondeg Sarah " " Elizabeth " " Maria " Minera John " Frondeg George " Nant Isaac Willbraham ? Bullman.
These are names of graveowners and does not mean that they are buried there, but they could be and also other members of their families.

Hi Tracey I have been trying to find out my gr gr grandfathers family. My gr grandfathers name is David Wilson Pugh and he was born about 1828 possibly in Berriew. Each census 1851-1861 etc show him as born in a different place. His mothers name is Mary and she was born about 1805 in I believe Kerry. Mary not only had David Wilson but also: Anne born 1830 in Llandiner to Richard and Mary Pryce Richard born 1832 in Brithdir to Richard and Mary Pryce William born 1836 in Worthen to Richard and Mary Price Jane born 1837 in Oakley to Richard and Mary Price Mary born 1839 in Worthen to John Griffiths and Mary Price Catharine born 1843 in Worthen to Thomas Jones and Mary Price (yes at least 2 illigimate children) I am not sure where the Pugh comes in as the family used both Pugh and Price. On the census the family used the name Price and when there was a birth, marriage or death they used Pugh. David Wilson Pugh married Eliza Morris in 1861 and they lived in Coedpoeth, from that time on I have managed to fill in most of the holes. It's going back that is my brick wall.
Do you think you can give me any help, I would be forever grateful.

I have been reading this site since it was recommended to me which was recently when I had just traced my ancestors back to Minera.
After many years of trying I am seeking any information on Evan Jones who was baptised at Ty Celyn Bach, Derwen on the 20th. February 1803 the son of William and Mary Jones. I know that Evan spent most of his life in the Minera area as a miner and after as a stone mason. He was buried on 1st. December 1877.
I would love to know details of his birth date and any information on his parents.
If you can help I would be delighted, Regards Ken Jones

I'm looking for any information on a Coedpoeth police Officer. Died before 1935. His name was Pc Fredrick Jones.
He was born in 1880. Was working in Lime quarry in 1901 census. So became a policeman after this date. was said to be well over 6ft tall.

I am trying to trace my Grand Father John Richard Jones born 1877 or 1878. He appears on the 1891 Census as John Rich Jones age 14 living with Richard Pritchard in the Nant (the same Richard Pritchard Brynybrain refers to in 1881 census) the census records him as "Grandson" but so far I am unable to find the connection
