INFO FROM GENUKI
The following Parish Registers have been deposited at the Denbighshire Record Office, Ruthin. They may be viewed on microfilm at the Denbighshire and Flintshire Record Offices, at the A.N. Palmer Library, Wrexham, and at the National Library of Wales, Aberystwyth. These microfilms are not available elsewhere. Baptisms 1786 - 1894 Marriages 1845 - 1927 Burials 1847 - 1915
Clwyd FHS has published full transcriptions of the registers (complete with indexes) for the following years : Baptisms Only.1772 - 1820 FROM GENUKI It is believed that there was a Chapel of Ease (to Wrexham) on the present site as early as 1577. In 1730, the district was combined with Berse, which was also a Chapel of Ease to Wrexham., an arrangement which stayed in force until Minera became a parish in its own right in 1844.
I think that records up till 1844 for Minera will be entered in Wrexham PRs as Minera was still part of the parish of Wrexham ,St Giles ,and that is why some records start in 1845 for Minera , I can look in those for you, maybe not this week but soon. In the mean time perhaps somebody else can tell you more.

aanedw Many thanks again.
I have today sent off for Thomas and Elizabeth's marriage certificate so maybe this will give me a clue as to whether she was married before.
Waiting eagerly !!

aanedw Many thank yous again - this confirms Elizabeth to be spinster pinning Edward's year of birth to 1843/1844 as a younger sister was born in 1845, unless of course he was born before the marriage - I suppose that's a possibility even for that time !!
I can now start searching for Thomas Williams - son of William. I know now that the PR record I found for a Thomas Williams born Llandegla 1824 son of Edward is not the right one.
Diolch yn fawr eto. Lynwen

Another little clue maybe. In 1851 on the same page as Evan , Barbara and family - living two households away in Cae Fadog are Edward Edwards aged 35 b c 1816 Minera. Anne his wife 34 bc 1817 St Harmon ? Denbs. EVAN 1 their son Jane Ellis a servant aged 16 born Llandegla. Could he be Elizabeths brother. ?
I think 1841 records are missing for much of the Wrexham area.
