Came across this whilst searching National Archives; Soldier's Discharge Papers/ Royal Hospital Chelsea service records John Griffiths, b.Minera served in Rifle Brigade, discharged aged 24 date range 1812-1816 Someone may find this of interest. I don't know what other people think but I find the National Archives very difficult to search. The above records are being digitalised though.

How did you manage to find this, I can`t . Is there a list somewhere or just the `hit and miss` keyword search. And what about A2A, is this now the same as National Archives. I agree Lynn, it is difficult

Right I think I've got it. National archives, search the archives (top of page), drop down list- choose the catalogue, then at next page-search the catalogue. At this point you can put in different things to search for, ie personal names, places but for this I used ref. for catalogue I wanted to search WO97 and a name. This is a first, honest! I think you can still use A2A website but it is now incorporated with the N.A. but it looks like you can search that separately

Just checked it and it actually works, the good news is that you can search by ref. and place. This is only an index though but if you can wait 3 years the digitalisation will have finished.... or you can order documents or even pay them a visit ;D
