I have a miner from Glamorgan living in Pennsylvania in 1880, there are two children born there c 1885 and 1889 Most or all returned to Wales by 1901.
Is there anyone with access to USA records that can kindly do a few look ups for me. Any offers and I`ll post the details later. Thanks.

Annedw, From a close friend who is also a family historian, but with extensive experience of family research in America, I have extracted the following information which may assist. ::)There is no FreeBMD equiv. for the US - records are very fragmented and are kept in county record offices. There is no 1890 US census worth talking about as records were destroyed. Other US censuses can be accessed at the Palmer centre in Wrexham on Ancestry. Hen Locsin

Hi Annette
I don't have world membership on ancestry but there are lots of rootschatters who do. Suggest trying for a lookup on their emigrants to US board.
