I'm investigating a death certificate which I have for an 11 year old child who died in 1847. There is no cause of death on the certificate. Have checked out the Pubs & Inquests book by J Clifford Davies but he doesn't seem to cover that far back. Any thoughts on where an accidental death in Llandegla might have been written up - Ruthin or Wrexham?

I`ve noticed that usually in the Prs there will be a note on the entry to say how they died if it was accidental or an unusual death, but Llandegla PRs for that late aren`t in Wrexham so I can`t look for you. I found one yesterday in 1834 and he was killed by William Harris`s bull Again all the papers in Wrexham that cover Flintshire start at c 1850 and they have years missing. I don`t know if there might be an inquest held at Ruthin Records office, worth a try. They have an index, also held at Hawarden. Dontcha just love a mystery ;D ;D ;D
