Is there anyone who can help me with my Jones f.h.? In 1881 the family are living "back of Butchers Arms," Talwn Rd, Coedpoeth. John Jones b.1838 Abergele Born Bettwys yn Rhos. Harriet b.1838 Minera [nee Kelly] Mis-transribed, should read Hannah Children:
John and Hannah are living 6, Griffiths Rd, Coedpoeth in 1901. Where are they buried? I know little about the family and would be happy to receive any help! Thankyou.

There is a Hannah Kelly who was baptised at Minera parish church on 28th April 1839 her parents were John (a Collier) and Mary If this is your Hannah it would suggest that they were worshipping within the Church of Wales and would therefore mean that they were not connected to one of the chapels. This leads me to believe that they could be buried in Minera St Marys Churchyard or possibly Coedpoeth Cemetery I have found her and her family on the 1851 census for Minera the 1861 Census shows her as a Housmaid working for a Family called Stretch and living at Aston Heath Farm in Runcorn Cheshire www.geograph.org.uk/photo/211536before she was married to John Jones. this you may already be aware of Apologies that I cannot be more specific to suggestions for the place of burial but this is not a requirement on a death certificate ( which would make life so much easier if it had to be entered) I will try and look into the other family members as soon as I have a little more time If you could post some approximate dates of when some of the family moved to yorkshire it could help with searching Tracey

Hi Tracey, I also found Hannah in Runcorn and with parents John and Mary Kelly in 1851, living "Cae Newyd", Minera, which appears in the township of Exclusham Above. I have been told that Mary dies and her husband then marrys a Martha. A John and Martha Kelly appear in 1871 in the same township, at Vrondeg Rd, but without any further info. they look like a completly different family. I do know that we are related to the Rev. John Kelly, Wesleyan Methodist Minister, who was probably Hannah's 1/2 brother! This being true, John Kelly was also a Preacher in the Wesleyan Chapel at Minera, according to pg.72 of Glyn Davies "Minera" book. Thankyou for the baptism as I do think this maybe her.
I did wonder if John and Hannah were buried in Rehoboth but without knowing dod, I cannot check "Y Clychgrawn" at A.N. Palmer centre. These have provided alot of info. on other ancestors. Thanks again, Lynn

I spotted quite a few Kelly headstones in Coedpoeth cemetery, but as I was looking for another name I didn`t take much more notice. There is a Kelly gravestone that was moved from Rehoboth to Coedpoeth, with occupants, these are different names .
Joseph son of Joseph and Eleanor Kelly died April 1872 aged 3 weeks. Also Elizabeth died April 13 1816 aged 10 Joseph Kelly father of the above died Feb 1 189?

Don't think these Kelly's are conected to mine. Perhaps way back! Was at the cemetery for the service as I have other ancestors who were reinterred there. Feel I need to find John and Hannah before I look for the Kellys. But thankyou anyway.

If you have tried all the local cemeteries you may have to resign yourself to the fact that the places that they are buried do not want to be found Sometimes people are buried in places you would not have dreamed they would be maybe because the churchyard was overlooking a nice area etc.
I know my Thomas & Miriam Owens were buried in Llandegla Churchyard which is not where i would have suspected this is probably because the bought a plot when 2 of their children died in infancy before they moved to Minera and it seems that they had purchased the plot next to it
you also have to remember that you are looking for a Jones family and being able to pinpoint the correct ones is a nightmare in itself at the best of times just sit back and try searching other branches of your family and im sure someone with a connection will turn up sooner or later who knows where John and Hannah are buried
This site has a wealth of local knowledge passing through and eventually someone will post the information you need ;D

......John and Hannah are living 6, Griffiths Rd, Coedpoeth in 1901 and John was a Greengrocer. Where are they buried? What happened to Mary Jane, Matthew Henry, Hannah, and Edward. I know little about the family and would be happy to receive any help! Thankyou. I have a few of these 1901+ 'grey' area's amongst my 'sideways' research, it is possible to search blindly on the numerous bmd sites that exist and be lucky. In some of my cases however I have had to resort to the waiting game of the 1911 census becoming availiable.

;D The key to Family History is persistence!!
Just confirmed via Hannahs obituary in Cylchgrawn, I have just had this translated, that she is buried at the cemetery in Coedpoeth. Now I have to locate the grave so will be contacting Mrs Jones at the Parish office! I am already thinking that after all the searching I bet there wont even be a stone!

Thanks Tominera for your help in locating the grave. Now where did Edward A go...... Edward A. Jones b.1876 Minera [? aka Alan] 1891 census missing for some of Talwrn but he was possibly there with the rest of the family. But where is he in 1901? I can't even find when his birth is registered The only clue I have are that he eventually has three daughters. Do I have to wait for the next census to solve this one ;D I have now managed to trace all their other children.
