Thanks Eluned, I have already traced Charles Littler, who married Ellen Gittins (nee Pierce, widow of John Gittins and Mother of Charlie Gittins). I don't think Mary Gittins is related, but I am amazed and impressed by the amount of detective work that goes on!
I have Charlie's details up to the 1901 census, and his death certificate from 1950, when he sadly hanged himself from a hook in the kitchen of his home, 2, New Road, Adwy, Coedpoeth. I would love to hear from anyone who may have known him, who can fill in details of his life in between.

Because of the nature of his death, there is bound to be a report in the paper, and possibly an obituary. This hopefully will give some details on Charles and his family. You have his date of death so it wouldn`t take much time searching. Wrexham museum have papers on microfilm for that time. I`m sending you a PM

Hi,
Im new to all this so please bear with me.
My Great, Great grandmother was Mary Gittins, whose father was William Gittins. She was born in Liverpool in about 1849 and lived in Bersham in the 1881 census ( age 32 ) in Adwy Poplar Row. Also there were; William Jones ( 27 ), and their children, Robert Thomas Jones ( 6 ) Peter Jones ( 4 ) Morris Jones ( 2 ) Winifred Jones ( no age given )
Her marriage to William Jones was on 27/10/1873. Her father was born in Liverpool in 1829, ( if i have the correct person )
Hope this is of some use???
