Hi all
Have been reading through the baptisms at this chapel and was somewhat surprised to find many families from Brymbo and Minera.
Also among the entries were these for the Harnamon/Harnaman families discussed on gogs Davies thread.
Joseph HARNAMON, born 09.08.1823, bapt. 24.08.1823 Harriet HARNAMON, born 08.05.1825, bapt 11.06.1825 Maria HARNIMAN, born 27.05.1827, bap. 17.06.1827 Jacob HARNAMAN, born 18.01.1829, bap. 01.02.1829 parents William HARNAMON (gardener) Llanfrwog Parish Marriah (md/o Robert & Marriah JACOB
NB in the case of Maria & Jacob the mother's name is spelled Maria and her mother's name is written as Maria Jacob.

Hello jojo
As a 'contributor' on the 'Davies of Minera' thread I was particularly interested to see the baptism details relating to the 'Harnamans of Llanfwrog' on this new thread.
This will be of particular interest to the 'Davies' descendant of Joseph Harnaman(born 1823).
I had searched without success for these baptisms in the Llanfwrog and Ruthin parish registers.
From your details and other sources I now know that William Harnaman married twice.
Firstly to Mariah Jacob. This marriage appears to have taken place somewhere before William & Mariah Harnaman moved to the Ruthin area. Their first known child James was born in the Llanfwrog parish in 1821/22. His baptisism details however would not seem to be included in the 'Ruthin - Mill Wesleyan Chapel' baptisms register nor in the Llanfwrog or the Ruthin parish registers.
Maria/Mariah/Marriah Harnaman died age 36 in 1835: Llanfwrog Parish Burials Register - burial 26 June 1835.
William Harnaman's second marriage was to Mary Creer in 1837(Llanrhydd Parish Church). Further details will be provided in due course on the 'Davies of Minera ' thread, including also the baptism and some burial details of William & Mary Harnaman's children (Llanfwrog parish registers), William & Mary's burial details.

Hi I have just discovered the 2008 posts re Harnaman on your forum. For anyone who is interested I can confirm that James was not the first born child of William Harnaman and Maria Jacob. There was an older boy, William who is my 2x great-grandfather. I have been unable to find any marriage details for William snr and Maria Jacob, nor any birth details for William jnr or James. It is thought that William jnr was born in 1819, possibly (according to my great-grandmother's birth certificate) in Bristol, Somerset, which is at odds with the information contained in the 1851 Census. No entry has been found for him in the 1841 census, but he could have been in the Marford area of Wales as he married my 2x great-grandmother Eliza in the parish of Gresford in 1843, showing his father as William Harnaman, gardener. William jnr and Eliza left Liverpool for the goldfields of Victoria, Australia in 1853. In the early 1860s they were joined by William jnr's younger brother Jacob and for a while both William jnr and Jacob worked as gardeners in Australia. Jacob married in Australia and had 2 children, but it seems he eventually returned to England. William Harnaman and Maria Jacob had 7 children (6 survived infancy) and William Harnaman and his second wife Mary Creer had 4 children (3 survived infancy). William Harnaman snr died of paralysis on 20 November 1854 in Mwrog Street, Llanfwrog, aged 60.
